[etc] How to search for thesis on UICCAT

To find thesis in UIC CAT do the following:

to browse theses by year in uiccat, you'll need to do an advanced search.
click the tab "advanced search" on the quick search/opening page.

A> enter "thesis" in the first "search for" box, select "as a phrase", and
select
"any words" to search by.

B> in the second "search for" box, enter the year
you wish to browse, select "as a phrase", and select "publication year" to
search by.

C> if you'd like to limit your search to the electrical engineering
department, in the third "search for" box, enter "electrical engineering"
(or "Computer Science" or any other department of interest),
select "as a phrase" and search by "any words".

then click "search."  you'll recieve a list of records to
browse.  some of the titles won't actually be theses, but all the thesis
published in the year specified will be among the results.
